Shivani Cotton Patchwork Midi Skirt in Eucalypt

The Shivani Cotton Patchwork Midi Skirt in Eucalypt is part of something we’ve been creating slowly and with care; one of the first four pieces under our own New Age Markets brand and part of the ‘With Love, From Nepal’ collection.

Each skirt is handcrafted in Nepal from approximately 60 individual squares of 100% cotton. No two pieces are ever the same. Every square is carefully chosen, cut, and sewn by hand, giving each skirt its own quiet irregularities and character, shaped entirely by human hands.

Once assembled, each garment is dyed in a soft, layered blue. The result is not a flat or uniform colour, but something more organic; slightly varied, shifting gently depending on the fabric and stitching beneath.

The colour story is inspired by the Eucalyptus tree and its grounded, earthy presence, combined with the blue haze that settles over the Blue Mountains where we are based. Together, these tones become a meeting point between soil and sky.

The Shivani Skirt is designed to be lived in. Over time, the fabric and dye will soften and gently fade with wear, developing a natural vintage character unique to the wearer. Designed with an elastic waistband and drawstring for comfort and adjustability, as well as side slit pockets for ease and functionality, it’s a piece made for everyday movement; comfortable, effortless, and built to become more personal with time.
