The Shiva Cotton Patchwork Pant in Eucalypt is part of something we’ve been creating slowly and with care; one of four pieces under our own New Age Markets brand and part of the ‘With Love, From Nepal’ collection. Each pant is handcrafted in Nepal from approximately 60 individual squares of 100% cotton. No two pieces are the same. Every square is carefully chosen, cut, and sewn by hand, giving each pair its own quiet irregularities and character, shaped entirely by human hands. Once assembled, each garment is dyed in a soft, layered blue. The result is never flat or uniform, but something more nuanced; slightly varied, shifting naturally depending on the fabric and stitching beneath. The colour story is inspired by the Eucalyptus tree and its grounded, earthy presence, blended with the blue haze that settles over the Blue Mountains where we are based. Together, these tones become a meeting point between soil and sky. The Shiva Pant is designed to be lived in. Over time, the fabric and dye will soften and gently fade with wear, developing a natural vintage character unique to the wearer. Made with an elastic waist and drawstring for ease and comfort, this is a piece intended for everyday movement and long-term wear; becoming softer, more personal, and more loved with time.
